International Workers' Day: May Day 2025 Rally and March
May 1, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Union Park, 1501 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60606, USA
Indivisible Chicago stands in solidarity with all immigrant communities and in defense of immigration rights.
We are proud to join the Consejo de Resistencia en Defensa del Inmigrante on May Day 2025, International Workers’ Day!
We will meet up with Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda at Union Park to rally and march together in opposition to Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Trump Administration’s catastrophic attacks on our nation and the world.
(Gathering location at Union Park TBD and we will update you closer to the date)
We are joining this coalition of hundreds of organizations as we stand in solidarity to fight back. This will be a nonviolent, broad-based action bringing all of us together from many different causes, communities and issue areas, as the attacks from Trump are impacting us all.
We need everyone who cares about our city, our nation, and our planet to make their voices heard. Join us and let’s show Trump and Musk that we will not sit by as they attack every thing we hold dear. Juntos podemos – together, we win!
A core principle behind this action is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

KCDW Women in the Labor Movement
May 31, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Gail Borden Public Library District: Main Library, 270 N Grove Ave, Elgin, IL 60120, USA
Join Kane County Democratic Women on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 10:00-11:30 am, at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin, IL for our very first docuseries. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Rosemary Feurer, history professor at the Northern Illinois University in DeKalb is our guest speaker. This docuseries is free and open to the public and continues in our mission to engage, educate and empower women.
Dr. Feurer’s research and teaching interests focus on labor movements and conflict in the U.S. during the late 19th and 20th centuries and how these movements affected the U.S. spatially, socially, and economically. Her latest project is currently titled The Illinois Mine Wars, 1860-1930 and tells the story of the violent conflicts in Illinois that helped to establish Illinois as one of the strongest unionized states in the nation. At the same time, she is working on a biography of Mother Jones, the famous labor activist and agitator of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. Dr. Feurer is also the author of two books and numerous articles on the U.S. labor movement.
